Welcome to meeting our Fairfield Pet Lodge Team, previously known as Fairfield Kennels & Cattery. We’re a family owned and operated boutique country Pet Lodge providing experienced Dog Training, Doggy Day Care, Boarding Kennels & Cattery for all your pets, with the highest level of care for their home away from home holiday experience. Located in South Auckland we are 7km from Clevedon, a comfortable 20 minute drive from Howick, Beachlands or Maraetai and on a main route to the Coromandel Peninsula. For those travelling abroad we are only 37km from Auckland International Airport.

Our facility is spread over five stunning hectares including lush paddocks, large garden areas and mature trees. Secure behind electric gates, it offers a safe, healthy and caring environment that your pets will love. Whether you are looking at day stay or want long-term boarding when you are away, you will find that Fairfield has a number of affordable solutions for your peace of mind.

Due to demand from our customers, we now offer boarding for a range of pets which is why we have re-branded as Fairfield Pet Lodge from May 2017.

A family owned and operated pet lodge lifestyle block that has been successfully operating for some 30 years, which was purchased by the present owners Anton, his wife Crisna and their daughter Ashlee back in July 2015. They all have a deep love for animals that enables them to provide an outstanding one on one personal service where possible for all their clients and their pets. 

Anton has served about 15 years in the Police force, with 12 of those years as a dog handler. His extensive training covers an abundance of areas such as Psychology of Canine, Obstacles and Agility, Command Delivery, Open Area Search, Scent Theory, Tracking/Trailing, Article and Building Searching, Tactical Policing, Medical and First Aid/Care, Feeding, and kennel management. 

Anton is at the forefront of the business, building personal relationships with his clients. He prefers to offer a client-centric approach rather than ‘the one solution fits all’ this assures that Anton finds solutions, where possible, to suit everyone’s individual needs for their adored pets. 

After arriving in New Zealand from South Africa Anton re-qualified and completed the following studies: Graduate Diploma in Human Resources, Master of Business Administration and a Master in Management. He spent his last few years employed in Human Resources and was employed by several public-sector organisations. Anton is charged with the general day to day management of Fairfield Pet Lodge including the maintenance of the entire facility.

Crisna is a full-time employee in the public sector. She recently completed her Master of Management. Crisna takes care of the financial portfolio. 

Fairfield Pet Lodge employs several local casual employees during periods of high demand.
